NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012
The spring 2012 collection at Diane von Furstenberg is aptly titled "Beginnings." Pale pantsuits and patterned floral dresses walked down the runway in bright pastels, accented with gauzy lace—a true rebirth for spring.
MAKEUP
Makeup artist James Kaliardos kept the look clean and natural, as if the model was naturally glowing. He first hydrated the skin with MAC Complete Comfort Créme, then lightly applied MAC Face & Body Foundation with a MAC 190 brush to even out the complexion. He blended MAC Paintsticks in Primary Yellow and Pro Pure White to highlight the planes of the face, and used Pro Basic Red, Genuine Orange, and Pure White over the cheeks for a soft, fresh glow. James lightly dabbed MAC Paintstick in Pro Deep Brown under the cheekbones to contour. He blended MAC Eye Shadow in Omega through the inner and outer corners of the eyes with a MAC 252 brush. He mixed MAC Painsticks in Pro Pure White and Primary Yellow over the center of the lids, and set the paint with MAC Eye Shadow in Gesso. He applied a light coat of MAC Haute & Naughty Black Mascara over curled lashes. To finish, he blotted MAC Lip Conditioner SPF 15 to reduce any shine.
