Hi Mary!
Unfortunately, I think that's a question better suited for a doctor or a dermatologist.
While Beautylish does have some industry professionals who also answer skin care questions with appropriate advice they will also tell you to see a medical professional to get the proper care/treatment as most of the questions posted here are rather minor issues - a cyst vs a zit obviously have two different types of answers and treatments. Information found on the internet is often and at most times also quite inaccurate, and I'd hate to see the situation become much worse.
I personally wouldn't do anything except maybe do a warm compress, refrain from touching your face, keeping the area clean and call the doctor ASAP because Cysts can become infected and Tea Tree Oil isn't exactly the best choice and drying out your skin actually does more negative than positive.. Good luck!

Is it a "true" cyst or is it "cystic acne"? A true cyst requires a doctor. But if It's cystic acne, you can put some ice packs on it and take some Advil to reduce the imflammation (redness, pain and swelling) as directed for a couple of days. You can also see a dermatologist and they can either presbribe meds or possibly even Give you a steroid injection to reduced it much faster. They will often give these injections to brides who don't want to walk down the aisle with a big zit on their face.

In going to see someone on Tuesday but I was just wondering how to make it less out there so I don't have to explain to everyone and feel bad about it.
