I know about the enamel in my teeth getting messed up, I've done all of the research. I'm hoping to get a piercing for my 14th birthday, and I was hoping to get a labret. Will it look good? If not, what would look good? Eyebrow?

Do not get your eyebrow!! Get the labret it would look fine on you

Teeth are way more important than a piercing. Honestly, and I'm not trying to sound all parental and old, but all my friends with face piercings have let them close up and regret getting them. Nose piercings can be cute, but lip, eyebrow, Monroe, those usually lead to regret and a small scar so you can't really forget about it. If you can't get over this want for a piercing after sitting on it for a good long time ( 13 is soooooo young) then go for it

Thx. Should I get a vertical or regular?

Regular if you are getting one. I still think 13 is to young plus when you get a job some places don't allow facial piercings

@ Opal L., I understand your concern. However, if you get an experienced, good piercer(we have several reputable piercers in my area), it will not touch your teeth as bad. There are also special labrets that are plastic or otherwise to keep your teeth in the best shape possible b

Well vertical would look fine. What is your idea of regular?

I had a labret for 8 years. You know what I have now? Exposed nerves in my lower teeth and will need to have a skin graph to fix it.
Seriously NOT worth it!
I have the right side of my lip pierced too and it doesn't touch my teeth and I still have it in (had it for 6 years now).
I'd suggest a nose or side lip (that doesn't tough teeth or gums). Not eyebrow! I hate that look on girls.

And Tia I am a trained piercer. It will cause damage no matter what! Plastic or not.

Thanks Ave! What are your opinions on vertical labrets?

Vertical labret would look nice =] make sure you think it's worth a scar though! I wouldn't recommend doing your eyebrow though. I'm not a fan of it on girls =S

I personally think your super lips would look good with a lip piecing. I'm more fond of snake bites personally. Because I prefer them on the sides and I'm ocd about symmetry. Lol. And no brow piecing. I think it brings too much harshness. Mouse rings are pretty good starter piercings. The pain isn't bad, and if you change your mind about it later, no big deal. Hope this helped.

Stefy S., thank you o much!! I think I have an idea at what that is, but could you elaborate? I couldn't find many pictures with that name.

Plain and simple no. You're too young and too pretty.

If your parents are okay with it ok. but personally, I think the eyebrow would be better. No one is "too pretty" for something like that. that's like saying they will make you ugly and nothing can make you ugly dear :)

I have my lip pierced on the right side. It never touches my teeth unless I have a stud in. Which isn't very often because I can't stand the pain of it constantly rubbing on my tooth. But 14 seems a bit young for such a piercing.

I had a vertical labret for 5 years and it didn't cause any problems at all. I really liked it and I wish I hadn't taken it out.

Get a vertical labret. If you don't like it just take it out after it heals .
