I agree with Vada. My eyes are hooded and because of age droop a little more. still trying to perfect it.

I have done it everday since I started with makeup at 13. you have to have the right tools and an attitude behind it. its fun cause you can go loud and big or cute and simple. I recommend it for anyone :)

I've used scotch tape to make a straight line- its ok once in awhile if you don't pull the skin. Maybe its not good for wrinkles. You can always use the side of an old library card or index card to make a straight line. An index card is nice for contouring too. I draw the wings first, just freehanded then go back and make a line on my lid and connect the two. They are never perfect, but hey, even our eyes and brows differ slightly, so so will the liner.

Don't worry about perfecting it as you apply initially apply the liner. Make the line wide on the outside edge and use a thin angled brush dipped in eye makeup remover or water and then gently wiped off to clean up the "wing" and perfect it.

On more dramatic days, I'll do the cat-eye first over primer, no shadow. This allows me to shape with Q-tip and some makeup remover if I mess up. Then I do my shadow over it and trace over the faint shape once I'm finished. Love the cat-eye with eyeshadow idea; I'll have to try that soon!

I looooove the smokey cat eye eyeshadow look for my eyes since it kinda elongates my eyes. I ALWAYS do a cat eye liner since I cannot be seen without eyeliner. I like to keep it short though since my eye shape doesn't work well with a long cat eye.
