So even though I use face wash and moisturizer for oily skin my face still gets shiny after about twenty minutes of having makeup on. I don't mind it when I'm at home but when I'm at work it's super frustrating and I obviously can't blot my face while I'm working cash register. Does anybody have any tips on how to prevent it? I use a matte foundation already. Thanks!

A primer, a good powder, and a setting spray would help.

I'd change moisturizers, considering the one you're using makes it shiny in not even half an hour. I don't have much experience with oily skin so I can't recommend much, but hopefully someone else on here has some good products to recommend. Try to get a gel instead of a lotion, Clinique has one called dramatically different gel, I thinks that might work well but I'm not sure. Try to look for words like "no shine" and "matte" on the labels of the products :) other than that, I agree with Jocelyn on the other 3 products, primer works wonders!

Definitely check out Wayne Goss on YouTube and his tips for shine and oily skin. Mine has been 10x better since I've implemented some of his advice. One of his biggest tips is to stop doing stuff to it, like stop adding serums and moisturizers and all that stuff, and just wash it and let it go. If you don't want to do that (though that was what helped me most) definitely make sure you're using a good toner between washing and moisturizer. Your skin has enough moisture, you have to take some of it off before adding more. Moisture + already oily skin = oil slick nightmare.

Cleanse your skin, use a toner, moisturize, use a primer, (wait about 5 minutes for your moisturizer and primer to set), use foundation, use powder, and then use a setting spray or fixative spray.

I agree with changing up your moisturizer. If your skin is getting oily that quickly then your moisturizer is probably not helping. I would recommend the Clinique moisture+ moisturizing gel or the Olay all day moisturizer with SPF. I have oily skin and both those products help keep me fairly matte all day.

What makeup are you using as far as primer/foundation/powder/setting spray? These could all be culprits as well.
