I am looking to get a good quality 2 inch to 1inch "cone" shaped wand, and a quick "how-to" would be really helpful.

Remington has a great one at target! As for how to use it, I usually grab small sections of my hair and hold the wand upside down and curl away from my face.

Ross has some for cheap. Wal-Mart as well. Keep in mind that those aren't the $200 professional ones.
