eek. defo a mission and a half. best to have a consultation with a colourist IMO. there's likely to be a brick wall of orangey brassiness to over come and thats when it gets tricky and doing it yourself could end up truly frying. once you get your desired colour your going to have to give it a lot of attention as it will be dry and somewhat damaged by the process. I've messed my hair up over the years going white blonde myself. luckily my hair was cropped so it grew out quickly.

Ugh. Fun times. My hairdresser and I have have taken my hair from black to red before. It was fun. But I've had red or black for so long. Just need something new.

First I think you should grow out your bangs a little bit, blonde hair + bangs = an impression of you being a wannabe barbie.
You can bleach your hair at home but it won't take just one time. There for, the hair get's damaged and strippy. And because of the fact that you have shorter hair, the bleach can end up all over you! :S
When it comes to coloring, go to the hair dresser.

I just took mine from super dark brown to blonde at home. I bleached and toned it like normal and it turned a bright yellow color. next I took a box ash blonde and dyed it with that and the yellow pretty much eliminated. it really depends on how orange your hair turns on how many times you'll have to box dye it.:) good luck

I'm a hairstylist have...you want to lighten in stages. Your hair needs to rest between lightning, so make sure to ask for shampoos/ conditioners or treatments you can use in between. That will ensure that the final product is beautiful and healthy not damaged and dry.

Thanks Alexandra. ;-) my friend recommended using the Provanna color remover once or twice, then bleaching once or twice, then toning as necessary. Of course I will use heavy duty conditioning treatments and hair masks to maintain the integrity of my hair.
