I've been seeing mixed opinions? And I use coconut oil for almost everything? And it's great to me.

I use it mixed with sugar and lemon juice as a scrub on my face and it makes it super soft.

It's wierd because my skin was clearing up using it in and oil cleansing method at night for a while. And then I forgot and went back to my normal routine and my acne has gotten a little worse. I have a deep pimple on my chin and a few on my forehead and and around my nose I have one. But this is normal for me. I have suffered with severe acne since I was 12 and I'm 16.

I reach for it from time to time myself as an overnight moisturizer over my serum. Faced zero issues on my oily/combo skin but I do use it daily as a body moisturizer. Every skin is different and not every skin can tolerate everything that is available.

It clogs pores... If its working for you use it but be careful in he long run, I thought it was good for me too since it was natural but it clogged all the pores on my forehead & cheeks

I used if for two years until I got fed up with it not working. It seemed fantastic at first but it seals the skin and makes it feel like it is helping, but its mainly just sitting on top of the skin, not sinking in, and clogging pores. I do recommend it for exfoliation with sugar but not for the face at all! I wouldn't say it was horrible, but it just doesn't do what everyone claims. If you are looking for something to help hydrate your face then go with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream or First Aid Beauty.

I just started using the palmer's face oil. It's like 10-11$ and works very well. And it has retinol!

Almost every oil sits on top of the skin. It's still considered a moisturizer but specifically it's an emollient.
And emollient is SUPPOSE to provide a layer of protection for the skin a prevent waterloss in skin and trap moisture in.
Moisture is literally water. Not any sort of oil. Oils don't moisturize, water does. Oils seal in the water and doing so keeps the skin moisturized.
You'll see in lotions the main ingredient is water then they'll have mineral oil, silicone or other natural oils which will lock in that water and keep the skin moisturized.
It's best to apply coconut oil on damp skin to lock in the water and doing so will actually moisturize the skin.
Then there is a humectant moisturizer which is either Glycerin (most common)
sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose, honey), proteins, amino acids, elastin, and collagen which actually attract moisture (water) from humidity or from beneath the skin and bring it to the surface

I mostly use it in my hair as a hair mask and sometimes on my body but every so often I use it in place of a serum at night and its great. I've never had a problem with it clogging pores or causing pimples.

This is what I do for a living. I have certifications in cosmetic chemistry, medical aesthetics, ect...
No, do not use coconut oil on your face. The structure of oil is too large to absord into pores... so it clogs.
Olive oil, cammiela oil, passion fruit, rice bran oil, soy oil, all great for skin. Jojoba too.

Understandable... not something I use. The squalene in their skin is most similar to ours. Definatly not vegan.

Olive oil is very similar too.

No no no. Oil is amazing but the Comedogenicity of that oil is the worst! It's all your skin so if it works that's cool but I wouldn't take a chance. Google the Comedogenicity of oils and picks from the light ones. My holy grail ones are grapeseed oil and avacado oil. Don't take a chance and use the heavy oils.

I sound so resistant but whatever works for you is your opinion. Do a patch test if you wish.
