Short Hair Woes

So I cut my hair pretty short in the summer, and it's now at that awkward in between moment and I hate it. It is growing out super awkward and I really don't know what to do with it.
It's not yet long enough to put in a ponytail.
My hair is wavy because I killed my curls (sounds awesome, but it looks gross as a result of the length)
Does anyone know any ways to style short hair? I'll try heat or non-heat methods

When you curl hair, it tends to "shrink" depending on how tight your curls are. Curl your hair using either a flat iron or curling iron so that it "shrinks" to appear shorter, rather than stay at that awkward length. :) Also, invest in some bobby pins. They'll be your best friends at this time.

If you're wanting to grow it out & it's at the awkward stage meaning mullety? This might sound strange but go get a haircut to balance it out.
For my clients this usually means we bring the back up & keep length in the front,it generally has the shape of that ^ Rihanna photo up there.
Once you do this you can grow it down gradually & gracefully! Balancing it out when it's almost at your shoulders.

When i cut my hair super short into an A-frame i hated it too... there wasn't much i could do with it.... but my favoite things to do were:

A. Cornrow into about 8 rows (braided or twists) then flip the little ends out
B. With a curling iron flip it out in the back, and curl away from my face in the front
C. Flat iron and tease top to give some volume, then use a pomade and piece out the ends.

Debbie - I think it's the opposite of a mullet haha! like the back of my hair is short and long in random parts for some reason, and the rest of my hair is to my chin.
But I'll try all this stuff, thanks!
