Ok so I have been dying my hair black for a few years Now and it's perfect time to change it up because I'm getting old and bored of my hair so I still will be dying it blue ombré and white but before I do that I want to see what I would look like with auburn red hair so is there a way I can lighten my hair maybe with out bleaching it? Or is it a must to bleach it first?

Well you can try a color stripper, but I'm not sure it's any healthier for your hair than bleaching. Color Oops is a good brand.

I agree with hannah try color oops,.. I have read that it sometimes doesn't take all the color but I think it should lighten it somewhat.

Yeah I've used color oops and it took out hair color from like 3 dyes back! It was insane and helpful. I have naturally black hair that I dye auburn or brown (depends on how I feel) and I have to do bleach washes. My hair dresser does all my coloring now but he explained to me that since I have such dark hair and I want to go lighter, to get my desired color without risking bleach damage, he'd do a bleach wash. It's a mix of bleach and shampoo to strip away color and prep the hair for a lighter color. It works and my hair stays healthy and shiny :)

Ok thank you and yeah I heard it will only take out your last dye job, if that's the case I'll need like 100 boxes!! Lol.

Lol! Yeah I was only expecting it to take out the last one but it took out the color I did that was too dark, and it took out the burgundy I had before that too. I had black hair again haha. My hair has always been very receptive to color treatments though so I was lucky, it wouldn't hurt to try and see how much it does for you :)

Yeah I will have to try that :) I have naturally blonde hair though I doubt it will take me back to that color ever because I haven't had my natural hair color since 5th grade when I started to dye it I did start young.
