My hair is very porous, it's platinum blonde & I need some advice on protein treatments and generally getting it back to normal.
How often should I treat it? 💕

I'd say use the good old argon oil or redkin 06 nourishing spray :) hopefully that helps :)

Been doing that, seems to be not enough. Needs some protein for strength :-)

For a DIY treatment: 2 full eggs, 3 tbsp of plain yogurt, & 3 tsp of olive oil. Mix together, apply to hair. Leave on for 20 mins, then rinse and shampoo. You can do this once a week. I hope this helps.

DIY protein treatment I've been using: 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise & 1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil. Mix together, apply from root to tips. Leave on for 30 mins or as long as you like. Rise & shampoo.

Try the aphoghee keratin reconstructor protein packs from Sally beauty if there's one near you. It's like the most intense protein you can do at home that I've seen.
It's the one that you put on blow dry it til it's hard then rinse out. Sounds scary but very doable & it helps you just can't do it too often because ur hair will get brittle from all the protein... Maybe every 4-6 weeks
You can use a more mild protein treatment in btw them like Aubrey organic Gbp condish or joico k-Pak
Remember to follow ANY protein treatments with moisturizing products as well or you'll just end up with dry brittle breaking hair

Be sure to not overload on protein. Too much of it can actually cause further damage. Michelle E. is right on about the Aphoghee protein pack. There is also one at Whole Foods from Giovanni that is pretty good as well.
