Suave Max Hold Mousse, Tresseme Gel, and Tresseme 24 hour Body hairspray. Put a quarter sized amount of mousse in hair and scrunch, then do the same with gel, then use hairspray!

I like using garnier max hold gel mixed with a little smoothing spray while hair is still damp.

Hi I'm a hairstylist. My favourite way to activate curl is to use a cream styler for curl, run through your hair root to end when it's wet , take 1 - 1/2 inch sections all over & twist from root to end . ( you'll know which way to go because if its the wrong way your curl won't sit properly- section with a finger work bottom to top) then use a diffuser! I find gels and mousses can make your hair crunchy . They also usually have alcohol in them which is quite drying for curl. Curl cream is better. And if you have fine hair , a light smoothing cream should work as well.
