I have trouble with oily skin and no matter what I do my skin always seems to get shiny through out the day. Any suggestions on how to stop this?

Blotting sheets! you can get them at Target, Walmart, Ulta

You could also try a mattifying moisturiser aswell or a little dusting if powder on the shiney areas always helps. Altho I use blotting paper cuz there quick & easy. If those things don't work u could try getting a cleanser/toner for oily skin as this will help control the excess oil your skin produces ; ) x

Try Urban Decay's De Slick setting spray. You can get a trial size before actually buying the full size either at Ulta or Sephora :)

Pop into a local drug store and buy clean and clear oil free face toner it's about £4 but it's totally worth it! All you do Is put it on a cotton wool pad and rub on your face! I use it every night and morning! Before my make up so I don't have oily patches! And it also clears spots up quickly x

You can get facials or buy dermalogica products they have an oily skin line. After one use my skin stays matte for a couple days which is really impressive considering I go through like 5 oil blotting sheets a day normally.

Also, if you have a target by you, elf has blotting papers for $1 and they work just as well as the $5 clean and clear ones. (;

I have the most oily skin ever!! I've tried Mac products & recently makeup forever's primer trying to find a solution & nothing really works. I came across a few blogs where many other s suggested using milk of magnesium as a primer. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try rather than spending more money on products that don't work & surprisingly it has been working for me. Usually after applying my makeup within an hour I would have to blot my skin because I looked like I had just finished running a marathon!! Lol I still have to blot but its now hours between touch ups rather than every 30 minutes to an hour!! It's such a cheap alternative why not try it.. Good luck!

Have you tried milk of magnesia? I rub some on face after I moisturizer, let it dry then do my normal makeup routine. I went from an oil slick 30 minutes after I did my makeup in the morning to a fresh made up face at the end of my very long day without touchups!

Clinique 3 step system, making sure that you get the moisturizing GEL, not the lotion. I use their youth surge age decelerating night moisturizer for combination/oily skin too, which is also a gel. They sink right in and leave no shine which took me forever to find.
Then I use revlon colorstay foundation for combination/oily skin. It makes a huge difference. On top of that use a powder on your t-zone, and then slightly blot over it with a sheet of toilet paper to get rid of the excess so you don't look cakey. I've got this down to a science haha. Just make sure that you DO NOT get the Clinique 3 step system for acne unless you have severe acne. That stuff dried my skin out so bad. The regular system for oily skin is best.

Btw the powder I use is translucent powder by physicians formula...I like the texture of their powders a lot more than most. It goes on a lot smoother.
