Any suggestions for a good moisturizer to wear under makeup. Normally I have oily skin but this winter I have a lot of flakiness around my nose. I'm not sure how to get rid of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you beauties!

Garnier has one that's in a jar and it's green... I think it's called moisture rescue and it's a refreshing gel that smells nice. If they don't make it, try an Olay oil free.

Imperialis from Lush. The lavender in this cream retablish the oiliness of your skin. I loooove it!

Right after I exfoliate, I use coconut oil!! sounds crazy... I have combo skin also and was scared I'd break out around my oily areas.. but my skin feels and looks better a week after using it! it's expensive, but look up the many uses (if you haven't already) also.. Alba is a good brand..kinda pricey tho. st.ives is a GREAT alternative for beauty on a budget :)

It sounds like in the winter you have combination skin. I would use a lightweight moisturizer like eucerin for the more oil prone spots and use something heavier on the drier spots. eucerin also makes a richer lotion that works great for that. Its the best lotion I have found compared to aveeno, jergens, olay and dove. be careful if you plan on usinf coconut oil on your skin. I know its all over the place right now but that stuff shouldnt be left on your skin after you apply it. you should wipe it off to avoid buildup as coconut oil/cocoa butter is moderately comedogenic.

I think if you use a lot, that's bad. I'm very prone to breakouts. one huge problem I've always had, and I use a bit every day and leave it on. It's definitely changed my skin. I also think you nees to make sure to buy unrefined organic. At least, that's what I've been using and absolutely love it.

I do agree with the cocoa butter though!

@nina I was so surprised when I learned it was ranked 4 out of 5 on the comedogenic scale. I was using it on my face, my body, as a foot soak, cuticle oil and even a hair mask. I guess its fairly tolerated by many but if you have clusters of pimples in one area like along your cheek then that is a result of using the oil. I dunno, I'm trying to research this a little more.
