So, I'm dying my hair tonight, washed it yesterday. I have to do it myself because my bestie use to do it for me she, she works at a salon.... but, I can't get ahold of her to ask her questions so here I am. Lol I bleach my hair and dyed it blonde about 6 months ago and now I have my dark blonde roots showing, so I want to dye my hair to look more natural than bright blonde. Went to sallys and got the dye, i already know about the red going in so it wont turn my hair green, but my question is, and im sorry if its a dumb question, but I don't want my hair to be two different colors. Do I dye my roots first then the blonde or other way around? Thanks for any advice. :-)

I would do your roots first because it will be difficult to avoid the next colour if you did the roots last:)

It depends on how dark you're going. If your blonde & you're going brown - it sounds like you might be going darker because you're talking about filling- do the blonde ends first with the red ( and that's less about going green & more about replacing underlying pigment ) So! Do the fill first- process & rinse. If you are going dark- & the Colour is close to your natural , you should be able to root to end it . But make sure that you take 1 inch sections 1 at a time & use a comb to make sure the Colour is distributed evenly. You don't want spots. If you aren't going dark brown & just a dark blonde- you shouldn't need red to fill either ( I just went back & read your comment again ) you should be able to fill with a gold or light gold/ copper- you fill with red when you go quite dark. People don't pay us the big bucks for nothin! ;)
Anyway once you fill you should be fine with the final application . I do think you should get this done by a professional , but if you really can't good luck!
