Then put some in a bowl and microwave it until it's a liquid, then carefully apply it to your scalp/hair (it might be hot after being microwaved). Make sure you work it through your hair, treat it like a deep conditioner :)

Doesn't the Castro oil harden again doe? when it starts to cool?

Hannah K.
Honestly I'm not sure but I think that if you apply it to your hair in liquid form it shouldn't become a solid again while still in your hair. It's not like it'll dry in your hair and make it harden :)

I'm not 100% sure if your supposed to microwave it :? Most girls don't that I know of anyways, but like I said not sure :? What you do is massage it into your scalp with the tips of your fingers and not your nails!

Hmm havent heard of it coming as a solid. usually you would mix it w another oil since its so thick and not easy to spread around. massage on roots and scalp and run through. I'd see if someone else has used the solid form but coconut oil is a solid simply rubbing it in your hands will turn it into a liquid. it dosent harden back up unless it gets cold

What you bought isn't 100% castor oil. What you bought was a mineral oil/petrolatum based product. Castor oil comes in a dark colored bottle and is a thick heavy oil. I love it for my natural hair. I wouldn't use what you bought.

Yeah no..castor oil if its PURE will be a liquid that can easily pour out of the bottle! I'd listen to Nala & not use it on your hair! If its got petroleum in it you'll have a Hella mess!! I know cause I dye my bangs & use petroleum around my hairline & forehead to keep the dye frm staining my skin & I've also got the one side of my hair shaved & its starting to grow back some & I wanted to make sure none of the blue got on that part of my hair (can you tell where this is going?? Lol) So anyway, yeah... I put the petroleum in my hair on the side to create a barrier so the dye wouldn't take to any of that hair If it would have dripped or anything. I created a barrier alright! From water, shampoo, more shampoo, dish liquid & finally had to take pure rubbing alcohol to get "most" of it out!! So I'd advise against putting it anywhere near your hair babe!!
