It fades within the 1-3 washes, the colour will fully go after about 1month, so you have a long time to wait till its gone, in my opinion it's great

I've heard good things about Manic Panic, however I've never tried it, also Manic Panic is about £10 for a pot, Crazy Colour is about £2.99 per 100ml bottle. Colour shampoos are alright, but the colour is never garrentied :)

Directions hair dye is really good, I've used their purples and they're well pigmented and last a while. Maintaining colour on just your ends is easier than your whole head as it'll fade more evenly and doesn't get shampooed as heavily

I personally think Special Effects works better than Manic Panic, if you are going to go that route. The past few years I've been mixing different dyes with one another instead of using the colors straight out of the bottle like I did as a kid, and you can make some awesome colors! I've mixed different bands with each other too (usually just because I'm using up whatever is in my cabinet), and that is alright too! I love love love purple hair of all shades, but I've been doing light violets a lot by mixing pinks with purples (and diluting it to make it pastel) but that may make a really neat color for your hair just with the straight dye!

To keep the color lasting longer, I usually only wash my hair when I really need to and I rinse my hair in cold water to help preserve the color.

Good luck!

I'm going to agree with Natalie about Special Effects working better than Manic Panic. I can say that for Beyond the Zone as well. I dislike that brand so much because their product does not give quality results for bright colors.

Pravana are easy and do not require developer... But even though this is considered temporary color, porus hair will retain it no matter what. You'll have to remove the color or cut it off!
