My hair is extremely long, a strand is about as thick as thread.
When I was young I was really stupid and bleached it, it has recoverd a lot and is soft again.
What really helped me was to stop blow drying my hair, use heat protectant and this may sound odd, but an egg white and olive oil hair mask.
Do you have any tips for long and thick hair? I would like to learn something new.. ☺ Mostly tips for shine, I've never had really shiney hair. ✨

They say rinsing your hair with cold water helps it shine, im trying this now i hope it helps you, my hair was very thick like you when i was little but blow drying my hair and so much made it fall and now its normal :)

Vinegar rinses help a lot. For shine you may want to look to hair gloss treatments.

Yes, I agree with Hayne about the vinegar rinse. I have had bleached white hair since I was 11 or red for a few months at a time. I took a two year bleaching hiatus and had black hair, it was sooooo long and healthy and I would use the Apple Cider Vinegar rinse on it 1-2 times a week. I think you put in 1-2 spoon fuls per cup(but I would google it just to make sure), then pour it over your hair after you shampoo, and voilá! It doesn't smell like vinegar after it dries either-that used to freak my room mates out until they saw how shiny and soft my hair was and how it did not have a funky smell.

The cold water rinse works well but shiny hair is also a result of your diet. Vitamins A, B5, and Beta-Carotine. Eat fish and plenty of fruits and veggies. If you want to read more about it, just Google vitamins for shiny hair.
