Lately my face has been really clear and I've been so excited because I've suffered with acne for many years. however, as of probably monday I've noticed that my face has broken out at the top of my T-zone pretty much in the middle of my eyebrows and in the middle of my chin.
I've got a good skincare regimen, but can someone please recommend a routine or something that can help this disappear fast?

I had bad skin problems back in the day. I went to the Doctors and they sorted it out for me and I think it's a cream called benzac that I used it was really good. Also I would suggest to not touch your face as it will spread and cause more bacteria to get into your skin. (:

My skintype is combination. I tend to be more dry around my nose, in my t-zone, and on my chin while I tend to be oily on cheeks.
my skin care regime consists of using a st. ives apricot scrub, and clean and clear deep exfoliating wash for mornings. I also use a black head scrub if necessary or use baking soda and water if necessary to help with exfoliation. afterwards I use an astrigent to help remove anything and then I moisturize heavily. I drink plenty of water and I work out regularly. I wear as little makeup as possible and granted I'm not a clean eater but I havent been eating anything high in acidity, sugars, or oils. :)

Have you introduced your skin to anything new over the past two weeks?

I just read what you're using. Cancel out all the exfoliating products. You're using too many. Apricot scrub, clear deep exfoliating wash and baking soda. No wonder your skin is acting up. And if your astrigent contains alcohol...ouch!! That is all too much for the skin to take in on a daily basis. To calm the skin use a non-active cleanser, use an alcohol free toner and a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type and stay away from the exfoliator till your skin stops reacting. And only use one in rotation instead of several.

Oh! For quick fixes I put ice on it then put on tea tree oil (from the body shop) and its way smaller the next day. Or make face masks.

Your using a lot of exfoliants. I'd stop using the apricot scub its really abrasive. limit the exfoliating to two to three times a week. use a gentler face wash the other days. continue using the toner but make sure it us alcohol and fragrance free. incorporate some kind of salicylic spot or face treatment. then moisturize. your skin may be over compensating after all those exfoliants.

Shelley and danny thanks for the tips! I generally don't use all those at once haha I realixe how abrasive they can be. I only use one I just alternate the uses I was just listing the products I'm sorry if I made it seem like I was using them all.

I Agree with Shelley and Danny apricot.scrub is made of ground shells not round beads the cause micro tears in the skin a much better choice in aveeno positively radiant scrub and no alcohol in your products hun an Shelley suggested a Aztec clay mask twice a month to draw out impurities I believe, she will let you know, I think I got the name right ,if you can't find that a drugstore clay mask like queen helena mud mask for detox and old fashioned oats mixed with water for a calming diy mask.

I understand the apricot scrub is abrasive but my skin isnt that senitive and using the scrub actually works for my skin so I mean I don't wanna push out anything thats working for my skin. its not my whole skin its just tiny little spots that are breaking out that I need help with getting rid of. think lile when youre on your period and your face randomly breaks out or when youre stressed. I'm sorry for the confusion ladies.

I have also been using chia seeds in a pint of water everyday for about a month and my skin is really moisturised and clear from the inside out x

@Dorothea...cool. I was really hoping that you weren't all using the exfoliators all at once. :) I too have several forms of exfoliators in my stash but I rotate depending on the needs of my skin. But I keep it at twice a week max. If you're experiencing hormonal breakouts that occur close to the start of your cycle I highly suggest flaxseed oil pills. I was going thru the same thing and wham bam...after a month of taking them I noticed a difference. A huge difference. No acne along my jawline. Rachel also mentioned consuming chia seeds...also another beneficial goodie as well for the skin. Both contain omega 3's which are beneficial for the skin. Both can be found at most health food stores.

Do you think omega 3 pills would do the same thing? seeds are fine but I'm very picky about what I eat haha, so in the event its bad I was wondering what other vitamins, foods or supplements you would suggest.

Try sheaMoisture products they are all natural n fast results.

@Dorothea...yes. The flaxseed oil pills that I take are pretty good. I can't do the seeds unless they are milled. But you can find Omega's salmon for example but you'd have to consume it quite frequently to fully reap any skincare benefits. It took a month for me to see a difference with the pills. Fish oil pills, tuna are other alternatives just off the top of my head. Oh...and hemp seed and flaxseed (both you can get milled at the health food store and taste yummy over oatmeal or yogurt).
