A dab of Moroccan oil or the like does more than any detangler I've tried on my girls. Talk about some tender headed children!! I also have a John Frieda something or other oil in a pump bottle that I use on them too and that works.

It's a 10 leave in, with a little Moroccan oil followed by a wet brush does the trick.

A wet brush is great for wet hair. I don't wash out all the conditioner from hair, this has done a great job at keeping it tangle free and easy to de-tangle.
