Are Toners important for your face?

No only if you have an uneven skin tone

I agree that they're definitely not necessary, I've tried a couple including some natural ones (apple cider vinegar), and it doesn't do anything for me. I like my skin much better without it honeslty. :)

I used to use toners. I bought them from lush and it deff did clean out any dirt left over/it really hydrated my face.
Tea Tree Water/Breath of fresh air. Great products: )

Actually toners are needed because just washing your face isn't enough. It takes the dirt under your skin off and hydrates your skin. It's really helpful!

I always need a toner to help control oils on my face and to help remove more impurities deep in my skin that just washing my face doesn't get to. But not every one needs one in their routine:)

I only keep a toner for when I feel my skin needs it :) I use it occasionally.

Depends on your skin type and which toner you use, I like to use toner because I have uneven skintone

I was told you need them because water that you wash your face with has a lower ph level than your skin and it effects your skin when you are older but by using toner it brings your skin back to the original ph level you don't see a difference at first but when your older your skin will look better than someone who hasn't used it

I use a clean and clear toner used for the treatment of acne. But that's about the only thing I've ever used toner for. I don't think it's really necessary unless you want to brighten your skin, treat acne, balance your pH etc. if you think your skin is fine without it then you really don't need one imo

Obviously a toner isn't necessary, but I love taking the extra step. I use Lush Tea Tree Water and I feel like it cleans my face without making it dry, and it really evens out my skin tone!

No, it's just an extra step you can take if you please.

I just talked with an esthetician yesterday, she's been doing it 30 years, so I listened, lol! She told me that washing changes the ph and toning brings skin back and it's very important. Apparently, your skin will spend time working to fix ph when it could be fixing other issues, and over time and years it makes a difference! I like Paulas choice products, they seem good quality and well priced. They are very helpful if you call them and explain your skin too!😘

I'm using one by Mario Badescu...it really gets the extra makeup off...but the thought of that also makes me think I should be doing a pre-wash before going in with my cleanser.
