It looks a bit of a messy chart to work from, as there's no clean lines work from. The amount used from one side of the face to the others aren't identical (look at the difference between the contouring on the left eyebrow, then the right!).

Fatima's is very good. Around the edges of your face and on your forehead you don't make spaced out lines...but everything is right.

If anyone needs help with highlighting and contouring Maskcara is a good blog to check out.

I disagree. You should not follow one universal model because not every person is the same. It is very impractical considering the point of contouring is not only to define certain features, but to create the illusion of a more oval like face shape, when not everyone has the same one. Different face shapes will require different placement of contouring and highlighting agents. I will post my makeup mom's comment explaining face shape and how to contour accordingly, that she posted recently on another thread. Hope I helped.

@alexus I wouldnt go with that contour or highlight pic its off and to make things worse this person is usong the wrong product to contour, you see how the contouring product looks orangy? Thats a red flag meaning she dosent have that much
@alicia your picture is also off I saw that you tube video and it is brutal that girl had no mercy on her model, I'm surprise the model wasnt screaming for help, you see how everything is not lined and there's no need to highlight the whole face thats ridiculous an againe look at the orangy contour

LOL!! right Makenzie Lego face and the most awful way to show someone how to contour. The picture Alicia provided is not a good example in fact it's the opposite, just simply erase that photo out of your mind. The second picture provide by fatima is not to be taken literally it's a over dramatic example for a reason and that is just showing one's placement it's not meant to show actual color needed or placement for all faces IT"S a Dramatic Example for eyes to see it clearly NOT to be taken as an actual instruction or color now say that ten times lol Pretty much Makenzie has gave the info that Jackie has provided many times before and Thank you for that Makenzie much appreciated since I don't have the patience to provide it like my friend Jackie which I'm always so glad she does the detail explanations she's awesome for that. :) Have fun

Makenzie T. Is right it depend on the person, face shape and features so it's better if you post your picture it would be easy for us to guide you

I agree with Makenzie and Alma you have to see the vid for the second pic the end result is horrifying. Also Fatima is right try it out then post a pic of it as if you still need advice the girls here will guide you in the right direction.

MaKenzie...I agree with you. But Alma's is would work better for more faces. I suggested Maskcara (blog) because she has separate posts for each shape of face and has pictures if celebrities of who have that shape if face and how to HAC.
