Oops! I meant Fatima instead of Alma. I just meant that it does depend on what kind of face you have (like you said) but that just for basics...Fatima's pic is fairly good. I definitely understand that highlighting and contouring depends on every individual face. Sorry...I was really confusing.

@MaKenzie T. Everything you commented I agree with. Sorry for all the confusion.

I understand, but Fatimas pic is, like Alma said, an over dramatic example, so it therefore isn't completely accurate either. Thanks for explaining what you meant though.

All the pictures provided are not accurate they're an Over dramatic versus and not even a correct version. Here's the thing to think about (Look at all those so called contour and highlight pictures every where and it's all an over the top sloppy mess of product's just spread around and they gets rave's by people that don't know better or even know how the makeup should look and the Fact that anyone can just slap on makeup and call themselves MUA's or make videos,Really think about it.Why do you need 3 times light color all over your face? Why do you need the contour all over? those things you need to pay attention to.PEOPLE WANT LIKES so they will suck you into anything that's popular even if it's all wrong.Sometimes I wish I could stand in front of all of you and display the difference between actual looks lol. Here's an idea go for the looks provided and then look at your skin and take a picture of it NO filters look at it for a bit. :) I know what all that looks like in person, so feel free to do it and let me know what you see.

I agree with alma the face tone , features and face shape matter slot in contouring the pictures just describes one model and it won't work out well in real.the real actual result are different varying from person to person so alma I suggest that you should post your contouring video to further guide us. And Mackenzie your explaining is great on contouring
