How to make beach waves??

Okay so my hair is naturally sorta like beach waves but its straight on some pieces and super wavy on others. How can I actually style my hair like the picture below??

A wand with small sections or a loose French braid over night

Yeah is say to create those type of waves you need to use a 1 inch wand with really small sections and try not to hold it there for long and then lightly brush your hair out with your fingers.
