The powder brush from elf is only $3 and it's really dense for a piercer brush, so my friends use it as a foundation brush. It easily buffs the foundation into the skin. And since it's so cheap, you can get a few and alternate the brushes to cut down on washes

All brushes have a form of shedding so that does not apply to the quality of a brush. And if a brush has lasted a long time it in it'self doesn't effect the performance unless it looks like a warped brush made out of plastic lol but Sephora brushes are pretty good.I would say go with a Sonia kashuk brush again she has a very good brush line at low end cost and another would be ELLE cosmetic brushes they're very good as well but sold at Kohl's. if you want to try out what Em recommended the target UP brand it wouldn't hurt to try or try out the Elf brush.I will be honest an ELF brush is different from a Sonia or any other brush I have but for temporary needs it will be ok until you could get a brush that you want. :)

Sonia 5 piece brush set is $14 some are less.Yes Kohl's has so many cosmetic lines especially Candie's,Cargo,American Beauty,Dermatouch,Flirt cosmetics Which is OWNED by Estee Lauder! and they're the sister to Mac which some don't realize and all the brands have their own brushes to,so go scope it all out there are more cosmetics I didn't mention but Lorac is also there. Elle is pretty good I don't see many use or talk about them here on Beautylish.Oh yeah Parian Spirit is freaken magic when it comes to cleaning brushes and it smells like oranges. :)

I like the elf brushes, they hold up for me and I've had mine for about a year now.. They are only 1$ and very good! They're not the softest brush out there but they're nice
Also there was this brush at Claire's for 12$ that's amazing! :)

Personally I use elf for everyday! I'm acne prone too and I wash them after every use and I've had my $1 brushes for over 2 years and they are still going strong! If recommend those until you find a really good brand you like.
