Oil cleansing is 50/50...
Either it works or it doesn't. You don't really need to oil cleanse for the benefits.. You get the same benefits just washing your face and using these oils afterwards to help moisturize your skin.
Are you interested in doing it to help with dry skin?

Here is what I use in my mix and I have oily/combo skin that is sensitive n acne prone
40% castor oil
40% jojoba oil
10% Dior cleansing oil
5% tea tree
5% maracuja
You probably won't want to use tea tree unless you are acne prone other oils you can try are coconut n olive oils but be careful if you are sensitive to any of these oils do a test before you dive in and use it on a daily basis

For me deeply cleans my pores by sucking out all the dirt and oil in it - since oils are attracted to each other I feel it does a great job of sucking out that stuff from my pores and the emollients from the Dior cleansing oil help to emulsify the oil n dirt so that they all come up in the hot towel during the "steaming" part - so after you got your mix just rub it all over your face for 5-10 minutes and then run hot water over a wash cloth (be careful not to burn yourself) then place the hot towel on your face for a minute then take it off and rinse it in the hot water and repeat this 2-3 times and finally wipe off all the oils with the towel and all done - I usually shower afterwards to make sure I get all the oils off and then I still use toner and moisturize further with jojoba oil afterwards but if you are just needing oils for moisture it's like kitty said you don't have to oil cleanse to get the moisture benefits from oils like jojoba, maracuja and coconut oils

I use the oil cleansing method occasionally. My concern is not the oil but placing the hot towel on my face. It just doesn't seem like a good idea to place a steaming hot towel on my face though I have never burned my face and continue to do on occasion.
