I've had spots for a while now, sometimes they start to get better but then they come back worse :( I do wash my face 2 times a day once in the morning and once before I go to bed! any ideas or anything else I can do as well? thanks x

Also try to dry them out with either a sulfur mask once or twice a week or spot treat with tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide if your skin can tolerate it.

What are you using already?
Personally, I find my skin reacts really well to salicylic acid. The Clinique Spot Clearing Gel has really helped with any spots I do get but I don't tend to get them very often so I'm not sure how it would work for persistent spots/acne.

Garlic works great for me just apply it to the affected area before you go to bed and wash your face in the morning.
