So, I look really bad in eyeliner. It makes me look like a raccoon. Even excessive mascara. Help! What should I do?

Maybe make a thinner line of eyeliner??
Felt tip liners are good for thin lines
Maybe just try one coat of mascara??

You could try a dark gray or brown eyeliner if you find black too harsh on you. Also, you could just tight line and line the upper lid instead of the waterline.

Try tight lining your eyes (lining the upper rim in case you don't know) which eyeliner. Also, maybe use brown eyeliner instead of black. With mascara, just make sure that you don't use too much. Or use a brown mascara. :)

I don't even line my waterline all I do is add a thin, thin eyeliner to my outer corners :(

Maybe you need to practice different eye liner looks. I tried making a small thin line on the eye forever and It always turned out to thick or not looking right but then I tried a small cat eye look and I love it! It fits me perfectly and I rarely mess up! (:
