Can one become a make up artist without being certified? Maybe do an apprenticeship to obtain skills?

in certain states you DO NOT have to be certified ..Certification just looks good on your resume and some jobs train you..some of the BEST MUA's didn't go to school

Cloey B. is absolutely right. Dont let anything stand in your way, most beauty gurus make a good living and have not been pro trained. Most are actually fashion students at FIDM

There are certifications you can get but its just for paper. Be confident in your skill and GET OUT THERE!!:)
