So I was looking on Facebook and a friend of mine was saying that they didn't know what makeup to wear to Thanksgiving dinner because it was the first holiday she was spending with her mate's parents. Somebody else commented that its really not an occasion to dress up for, it's only Thanksgiving. I disagree. My mother takes photos so I try to look nice. I mean I'll wear jeans and a nice blouse but my makeup and hair will be done.

So what do you guys think? What's a good Thanksgiving look? Or do you guys just not worry about it? I'm doing a natural eye with vampy lips.

For Thanksgiving, I am definitely wearing makeup but it will be simple with neutral eyes and red lips. I think makeup should be worn for any family gathering where pictures will be taken.

I'm wearing a brown smokey eye with neutral/nude lips. I don't really feel like worrying about my lipstick when I'm pigging out haha

Good point Pamela! Focus on the eyes and stick with chapstick. You can have family appropriate eye makeup just use neutral colors.

When I want to look good but not overdone, I go with really neutral browns and khakis, simple eyeliner and just a tinted lip balm. Unless you're sure your lipstick will hold throughout the meal, you don't want to take any chances having part of your lipstick wear off and end up with a smudgy mess after supper. Keep the makeup neutral and accessorize with jewelry. A strand or two of pearls will dress up a casual look quick.

Neutral with a little drama eyeliner. Warm cheeks and lips reminds me of fall but still keeps it classy without over the top to me
