I have thick wavy/curly hair and I used to straighten everyday and dye it all the time and it wouldn't grow past my shoulders.

so I stopped and left it natural and would only straighten it once in a looking while to see how long it was. about 1 1/2 year later my hair is past my boobs.

now the problem is it won't grow anymore): it's been a year since any hair dye has too touched my head, and it's only 2 peekaboos. any tips tos stimulate your hair follicles or supplements?!

Keep it healthy! That's the only way to let it grow. I would
-stop using heat completely (if absolutely necessary, use a heat protector)
-increase your water intake
-take multi vitamins
-only shampoo your scalp, not the whole head
-deep condition like CRAZY! (aussie 3 minute miracle works wonders)
-Hot oil treatments (coconut oil is the best, even when not heated up)

I was doing all of this for a while, and still wasn't seeing any growth. I finally realized the only possible thing keeping my hair unhealthy is the fact that I use hot water on it. So in addition to everyhing listed above, I started using strictly cool water only on my hair. Now it is finally growing and is very healthy!

Your hair growth rate is determined by genetics. so it's possible your hair will never grow long. it could also be just because it's not healthy. your hair can only grow as fast as it would at it's healthiest.
-drink a lot of water
-eat healthy
-get trims as necessary
-try not to dye your hair
-use sulfate free shampoo & conditioner. I like L'oreal Everstrong.
-coconut oil for strengthening treatment
-use a hair mask
-use a leave in conditioner
-little heat as possible
-always use a heat protectant. I like it's a 10

Maressa, when I shower it's basically steaming hot because I'm anemic and have trouble with cold haha, but I never that to be a factor! I'll suck it up and use cold water for.my.hair!

That's what I used to do! Then I would wonder why my hair would always look fried despite not using heat for years. Switching to cold really did the trick for me.

I guess that's what it is! Like you said, maybe my hair just looks fried and it's not actually frizzy! haha. and I always get out of the shower and vigorously towel dry my hair immediately because it takes like 3 hours for my hair to air dry... I guess that's a no-no too!

A lot of the damage you see now is probably from back in the day when you had worse habits. Get a repairing shampoo & conditioner system and get frequent trims until the worst of the damage is gone. Also, if you wake up and your hair looks like a wild animal, don't fight with it much. Just submit to a hat or loose messy bun to keep new damage to a minimum.

Dove is pretty good! I don't know what your specific hair type is, but if you have thicker hair you could go for something with Moroccan oil or coconut oil.

Try organix shampoos and conditioners.

I read this and it sounds literally exactly like me 😮 except I didn't dye my hair but anyways, everything they said is what I have done and my hair is to the middle of my back now. The cold water and what shampoos and conditioners you use I think is the most important. Also, try to not wash your hair evey day. I do like 3-4 times a week.

The fact that you're enemic, could be part of it too. You're body could be lacking the vitamins you need
