I'm about to go on a little rant here... I really am starting to dislike Youtube because it seems there are so many beauty channels out there solely for the purpose of "making it big" and getting "rich off of Youtube." It seems to me no one cares about putting out new, fresh information anymore or about the quality of their videos (people filming in their bedroom with poor lighting and an iPhone camera) Also, a lot of people mistake the big names on Youtube for makeup artists- when they are actually beauty bloggers. There's a big difference. In the words of Alexa Prisco "owning four MAC eyeshadows does not make you a makeup artist."
I do like Wayne Goss -but like Miss Jacqueline said- he does contradict himself a lot. His videos are also mostly him talking so it's hard to learn when he's discussing techniques unless you are a auditory learner.
I was watching a makeup artist named "Chrisspy" (her real name is Christina) for a while, but recently she signed a big partnership w/ Youtube and they film and produce her videos, which are now more about the overall look (music, transitions, setting) then the actual information. She is filming detailed looks in two or three minute videos. I've been noticing this with other beauty bloggers and makeup artists too.
What was the building block for my makeup education is starting to become everyone's "get rich quick" plan. :-(

I love Jaclyn Hill! I have the biggest lady crush on her!! I also watch Casey Holmes, Lauren Curtis, Leighannsays, Nicole Guererrio... But those are more basic tutorials for noobs like me. You might like videos by Jure Chuk. I think he's from Russia, and the videos aren't the greatest but he had some really good tips for deepset eyes and really seemed to know what he was doing.

Wayne Goss (gossmakeupartist) he cuts the bulls**t and is always straight to the point. His tutorials are very easy to follow and he shows little tricks you can use if you are struggling.
I highly recommend his channel, following it for over a year and I've got so much better. PLUS HES A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST!

@Antonia: I love that quote :)
I watch NikkieTutorials and Jaclyn Hill from time to time but over the years I have stuck with Wayne Goss,BeatfaceHoney, Tymetheinfamous,MakeupbyLeniaBaaaby, and someone else that I don't remember, lol. And I just recently discovered Jamaicanmakeupartist and Makeup by Namaisa.
There's just so much garbage on YT nowadays to sift through to get a decent makeup tutorial to watch done by someone that knows what the hell they're talking about/doing, lol. Girls with zero talent/skill get a palette and some Elf brushes make a video with a candle in the background and start calling themselves a Mua or a beauty/makeup guru. Its a sad sad story, lol.
