I've been using the MAC concealer for a couple years in NC30 and it's the perfect shade, I also have the pressed powder in NC25 that I'm happy with.
this past weekend I got matched up for the long wear liquid foundation and it's NC30 as well, but it looks super dark compared to my concealer. it doesn't match up completely and when I wear this foundation I feel like my face is 2-3 shades darker than my neck. Are the foundations known to be darker compared to everything else? should I see if I can exchange it? Or am I just overreacting?

Go with your first mind...when in doubt its the time to investigate another alternative. I would go in and get matched again and this time take the hand mirror and step outside because you will be able to get an accurate read. Those lights in-store are pointless. Everything looks smoking hot flawless inside but step outside in natural light and its not pretty.

Bring it back with you and explain you think you were mismatched. If it's the store it's in the computer and if it was Nordstrom they will be fine with it too.
People in stores always try to match me darker, I don't know why, it doesn't look bad but it doesn't match my body lol. So that's a no go. I get samples now, the color they recommend and the one I think I should match.

"Everything looks smoking hot flawless..." LMAO! Like when I look into a mirror with one contact in, one out! If only everyone could see me that way! Lolol.

Oh, and yeah... get re-matched if you're not happy.

NC30 in one mac product, is not NC30 in another mac product. For some reason the colours aren't universal and slightly lighter/darker. I'd use NC30 as a base guide, but definitely exchange it for a shade lighter.

Thanks ladies! I'm going to go in-store tomorrow and see if anything can be done about exchanging!
