Hey,so i have been slowly and gradually trying to build up my makeup collection. and i am looking for a face powder.
Now i have a combination of oily skin with dry skin, mostly dry skin, i would like if you guys can help me find a good face powder maybe a good drug store brand that i can use to touch up during the day. Especially at school.

Maybelline Dream Matte is a really nice powder, it would be useful for any oiliness you might get during the school day. Revlon Stay Matte is pretty nice as well. I haven't really tried too many powders, I tend to go with what I like, but I'm trying to branch out with that myself (:
It would also be good to have a nice translucent powder. NYC makes a really inexpensive nice one, and Maybelline just came out with a mineral translucent powder. I've tried the bronzer and it's pretty nice, so I'm hoping the translucent will have the same success!
I'm also gonna throw in MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural as a higher priced investment product. it's worth every penny. It gives such a great satin finish to the skin.

Omg thanks so much Dylan i wrote all those down, and i would look into them. i deffinitely think that i will save to try out some drug store brands that you mentioned and save maybe for my birthday and get the mac Mineralized skin finish Natural because i am scared that the drug store brands may not have the powders in my skin complexion.
thanks a lot

I LOVE elf's HD powder, it works great and I have similar skin issues as you. I get oily on my t-zone and my cheekbones but I have some dry patches around my nose and mouth. The HD powder sets my makeup and keeps me less oily without highlighting the dry spots like some powders do. The only problem is it's not very travel friendly to take to school because it spills EVERYWHERE.
My second favorite is Rimmel's Stay Matte, it keeps me oil free all day and it's a pressed powder so it's good for school. I have to use it sparingly on the dry spots though.

Elf's complexion perfection. It's $3, and it has 4 different shades to cancel out any discoloration on your face and goes on translucent. I'm not sure if I would recommend it for oily skin, because I have normal skin, but I think it's worth a try.

I have oily skin and use Rimmel's Stay Matte powder in Translucent. It's great for setting your foundation/tinted moisturizer and doesn't cake up after touch-ups!

thanks Kris, yeah i am looking for a powder i can touch up during the day, when i go back to school because i am using tinted moisturizer that i sometimes mix with a little foundation and i like to set it.

I don't remember off-hand. I usually buy the Translucent because it's clear, so it doesn't add any additional color - it just mattifies your skin.
