I use Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion. And by the end of the day I still have a crease. How do I prevent this?

I suppose this could be one of a few issues:
1. How much product are you using and are you using enough to cover the entire lid?
2. Maybe allow the primer to dry completely before putting on eyeshadows.
3. It could just be the shadows you're using. Are the cream shadows?
4. The formula could just not work for you. Perhaps try another primer like Two Faced Shadow Insurance.
4 and a half. Try a primer made especially for oily lids (if that is a problem with you).

And... I'm not sure of any other solutions/problems haha. Hoped this helped a bit?

I'm almost done wa bottle of primer w/a wand. It's possible I'm just not getting enough. My shadow does crease more if I use low end product than if I use some others. So it may be a combo of all. Thanks for the tips

The thing about eye primer is you want to put a good amount of it on but you only need a light layer and more of that can induce the creasing. Urban Decay is a great primer. Less is more! Try that out. :)

Do you have oily lids? Personally the Original UDPP creased like crazy on me and I don't even have oily lids. I found that the Eden UDPP worked better.

Also is the product expired or has it always creased from the moment you started using it?

My lids get really oily so I use MACs Paint Pot in Painterly. It's a lot thicker and since it's cream based instead of liquid based, I feel like it sticks better. It's the only high end product that I own but it's totally worth it!

Kelsea, I also use MAC paint pot, mine is Ochre, and it is like glue! I actually have pretty dry skin and it works great on me too!

I used to use the prep and prime MAC (that I got many many years ago -- so I wonder if it's still good). I would then layer something else from MAC, that for the life of me I can't remember it right now (that I also got many many years ago). I noticed if I used a lot of that stuff, my shadow would crease. Then I heard to go easy, which I did, and it sorta work. I just hated having to make sure I didn't use too much or too little.

So I found out about UDPP, and no matter how much I use my shadow never crease. I was amaze! I use the UDPP is Sin because sometimes, if I just want a little bit of shimmer on my lids and nothing else, I just dab Sin and go. Or it's great when I do my eye... I don't really need a highlight because Sin gives enough "highlight" as it is. (My lids gets very oily)

With eye primers, I feel that less is more.. to a point. There is no need to slather it on, but you do want enough to get an even layer on the skin.

I've also noticed that a lot of people focus the application on the lid, then blend it up into the crease and towards the brow. I've had better luck by focusing the application on the fold of the eye (since that's is where it creases) and blending down to the lid.

I've been using UDPP for years, and always go back to it. MAC's Paints are another favourite, but the the Paintpots always crease on me if I don't use another base underneath. MUFE's Aqua Creams and Annabelle's Eye Smoothie pencils have also held up really well against my super oily lids.

Tamara...I think I'm guilty of that...I'll put layer on my lid and blend it up. I'll try starting in my crease and blending down. I have a new bottle of UDPP original I started using today and not creasing as much but I also put eye cream on my lid this morning and may not have let it absorb well before putting make up on. I'll try Eden and see if that works better.

@Jalaina S. That may be your culprit right there. Eye creams tend to be quite rich, so they definitely will increase any chance of creasing if you're applying directly to the lid.

You may want to try this tip, with Eden & the Original: once you think you've given your eye cream time to absorb, take a tissue & dab off any excess. Good luck!

I use UDPP then some transparent powder over to set it. It seems to work for me.
