Well how many shades lighter is the foundation to your skin tone? If the foundation is 2 shades lighter, get a shade that is 2 shades darker and mix those 1:1.

Honestly, you could even attempt to just buy a face powder a shade darker than yours and set it with that to even it out. Thats what I do when the seasons change and my foundation doesnt match, works for me!

I am almost always mixing foundations. The back of my hand & a metal spatula do the trick for me. Once you get into it, you just get an eye for it. It's makes those in-between shades a breeze to match as your skin changes through the seasons.
In your case I'd grab a shade or two up, and just add the tiniest amount.

i mix all the time, it's super convenient because it can take you through the entire year even when your skin color changes from summer to winter.
