Hey lovelies,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows any good tips to keep control on loose powder because it's so messy and goes everywhere.

Thanks x

My mineral foundation and setting powder (sorta speak) is mineral/loose. So I tend to close the jar, hold it upside down, and tap the bottom (which will be the top -- when it's upside down). This releases enough powder on to the cover.

Then I either use my Sonia Kashuk flat top brush (don't remember the exact name) to buff on my foundation, Or I'll use a fluffy face brush when I want to set. The EcoTools Blush Brush is a good brush, or I use E.L.F. face brush. They are both big and fluffy...

If you're talking about loose pigments for eyes, I like to use a flat c shape brush and then pat it on my eye. You don't want to rub it or drag it around to much because that's how you're going to get fall out.

If you do get fallout, you can take a small piece of tape and pat it where the loose pigments are. That usually gets everything.

I used a loose pigment in one of my videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uucYsiu6MiQ). You can see how I used it around the 2 minute mark.

It helps a LOT if you wet your brush before hand. It'll help the shadows stick.

Hi Jane, yeah I already do that method but still find that once it's through the little holes it ain't going back. I'm thinking maybe get some bigger scew tubs to try and help control how messy it gets when opening the tub.

Andrew: Again I already use a powderpuff :) It's just trying to control the mess the powder makes when opening the tub.

Thanks guys :)
