I love the tokidoki eye brush set, you get three brushes and its $35 at Sephora. I think they are amazing, and really you can do any eye look with just these three brushes. When I bought them I really bought them because I thought they were cute I wasn't expecting much, but they quickly became my favorite brushes. They don't shed at all either!

Here is the link to them at sephora

I forgot to add that they are heavier than the average makeup brush because of the design so if that would bother you, you may want to pass on them :)

I do like the ELF Studio line as a starter set - their 11 pc. brush kit is awesome, only as long as you get it for at least 50% off... otherwise, I would NOT pay $30 for it. $15 - yes, $30... no.

Essence of Beauty have really decent brushes as well. I like their crease brushes that come in the 2 pack. Great alternatives for the MAC 219.  =)

Sigma has great brushes that are comparable to MAC brushes but super inexpensive. Check them out at http://www.sigmabeauty.com/?Click=561 (my affiliate site).

Crown Brush is amaaaazing for beginners! They were the first brushes I got, they go as cheap as $1 and some of the higher quality ones are still extremely cheap at $5. I guess a problem is that you can only get them online at www.crownbrush.us or www.crownbrush.co.uk but I think they are definately definately worth checking out. Hope this helped :D x

hmm everyone suggests sigma. they aren't too expensive- theyre pretty affordable for a high end quality brush. i do love elf's studio brushes though, as well as eco tools. i'd go with eco tools brushes first if you're just looking to start out because they're so soft. you could buy one or two eye brushes from sigma (they're about $9 i think) if you want to look into those as well. you dont have to do a whole brush set if you want to try out different brands :) just buy one or two from different brands and you'll see your collection build up!
