I'm the kind of girl that doesnt like to splurge on makeup (I stick to drugstores) but I have heard a lot about this and everyoneeee seems to own it. I went to my Ulta Store and it was kind of expensive. Is it HONESTLY worth it??

Your mileage will vary, if you have dry lids more people like the Too Faced Shadow insurance. I personally like it but there are other primers I like, the NYX Eyeshadow Base and the ELF mineral eye primer

ELF mineral primer ($3.00) is pretty good, I also like Palladio herbal primer ($7.19). Both work well on me and I have very oily lids.

Honestly, it IS a great product. It works really well & does exactly what it's suppose to do - BUT I find that my $1 ELF one works just as well for me as the UDPP. $3 Mineral one (for oiler lids) seems to be almost an exact dupe (quality wise) for the UDPP. So you have options. :)

Personally, I love it... but, if the price bothers you, try a cheaper alternative first.
...I have also never actually bought the primer potion on its own, but I think I have enough minis to last an eternity... >.>;

I love the Primer potion, It's my reach to product on a morning when getting ready and doing my face ;) hehe. Love it! I actually think the price is great for how long its going to last you! sure I've had mine over half a year now. Still got loads left! :) However, I do love TooFaced, it's a personal fav of mine when it comes to their leopard print blush! <3

It lasts forever! I've had mine since.. early last summer/late spring? Still loads left! And I have the old "genie bottle" type! You can always try other primers that are cheaper like e.l.f. but I haven't tried it myself. You can also make your own primer! Missglamorazzi has a great tutorial on that!

Yes it totally is! I have one that I bought in November 2009 & I use it pretty much everyday and it still has a bit left. You don't really need too much of it. However, that is the old packaging and the new packaging is in a needle nose squeeze tube that has 10% more product in it so I'm sure this will last me over a year as well.

I do think it is a great product, however I don't feel like it's God's Gift to primers. There are other primers out there that work just as well and don't cost as much! If you wanna give it a shot in order to decide for yourself if it's worth it; try going to a Sephora and asking for a sample of it. Actually Ulta may give you a sample as well.

I have the e.l.f. primer and the UDPP, I personally like the Primer Potion better, because it seems to make my eye makeup stay on a bit longer. But the elf one does work pretty well too.

It honestly depends on the person. I personally hate the Original UDPP, but I love the Eden UDPP.

I absolutely LOVE UDPP, I have very oily eyelids and this is one of the only primers that keep eyeshadow in it's place all day! It lasts a very long time, so spending around $20 isn't that bad. =)

i absolutely love the primer potion... ill be honest and say i havent tried any other primers because i got so caught up in the hype for this primer, but it really does work. and as everyone has been saying, it varies how your eyelids are. i have very oily ones.

I use UDPP daily in it's original formula. The difference in pigmentation and staying power is night and day. I wouldn't suggest doing any eye look without a primer because of it. Days I forget to apply this base, I notice the put-together look I worked so hard on fades halfway before the day is even over.
I've surprised myself waking up after passed out drunken nights of clubbing to see an immaculate eye look that did not budge. Although my hair is tousled and tangled, my foundation has faded and the rest of my clothing dishevled, I've managed to be able to wipe off the foundation and keep the eye look if I am running late somewhere thorughout the day. I'm an advocate of UDPP, but I've only used that and only that... so I can't suggest anything else. Doesn't hurt that the price you pay gets it right the first time, so you don't have to keep shelling out $$$ to try others that keep failing on you. =)

I looove the Urban Decay Primer Potion. seriously. I use it every day and I would recommend it to anybody. I totally understand your hesitation toward the price because I tend to go with cheaper (but still good!) alternatives myself. but I love this stuff & I've had my UDPP for a while now and I still have much more left :)

I got this with the Naked palette and must say I love this product and I find that with my UD eyeshadow they don't fade quickly but the potion stops any lines forming on the lid and it's great for long use.

I have replaced all of my MAC and Benefit primers in my kit with the UDPP in Eden. It is the perfect shade that will neutralize the lids and it works with black smoky eyes, neutral eyes or any colors you can imagine. I absolutely love it. I also have the UDPP original formula in my kit, but don't have much use for it now (I used to put the UDPP on first and then place a paint pot over it). I find using the original formula alone the eyeshadows don't show up very vibrant. Overall, I would say it's definitely worth it! :)

its definitely worth it. i have really oily lids and my make up doesn't budge with this stuff. i like that theres a few colors to pick from. i believe on urban decays website, you can buy a travel sized UDPP for about $9. i recommend checking that out!

Ok. Go to sephora. Put a swatch of the primer on the back of your hand and rub it in, then do a swatch of an eyeshadow over the primer...and then a swatch of the same eyeshadow just on your bare skin. The difference is amazing, and will probably make you want to buy it on the spot haha =]

I have never used liquid primers because I don't like feeling anything thick on my face. However, I recently tried MAC prep+ prime finishing powder. ITs amazing and makeup lasts allllll day! I dont use foundation but i use concealer in a few problems spots and under the eyes. Everyone should at least try it. Also, although I have not tried it, I heard Coastal Scents makes a silica spheres powder which is essentially the same thing but a fraction of the cost with triple the product..

I am not a fan of it. I find it greasy and ineffective. I have oily lids and really like Benefits Stay Don't Stray and Bare Minerals Prime Time work much better. Plus I feel like you miss out on a lot of the product because of the bottle design.

They did change the bottle design to a squeeze tube =]

I bought my Urban Decay Primer Potion months ago and still have a lot left! Honestly, I do not like the old packaging either. When I am out of this one, I will check out the new packaging.

oh and if you have the old bottle, use a pair of tweezers and yank out the white ring on the top of the opening. you can wiggle the wand around more and get all the product out. i did that to all my bottles and they last SO much longer :)
