Okay I just checked out e.l.f products online for the first time and whats the low down?
Are they good products? Why are they so inexpensive?

The are like hit and miss. I love their dollar and studio line brushes. They are not consistent in quality but they are great. The eye brightening quads are also great for $1. Also their Mineral eyeshadow primer.

That's about the things I like of them. Got an order coming with some lip products, I'm going to try those and see what happens.

e.l.f is definitely hit or miss. I say NO on anything that isn't powder. Eyeshadow and blush is okay, it does the job and it's cheap. You can try their foundation, but I don't really recommend it; it's not the greatest quality and there's not a lot of colors to choose from.

I'm wanting to try their lashes because they're only $1 per set but I haven't yet...

I'm still on the fence about their lip glosses and sticks. They seem fine, but last one I bought didn't have the greatest quality packaging; it fell apart in less than 24 hrs! But it was $1 so, no big loss. And I have no idea why their stuff is so cheap =/

Hope that helps!

I ordered from them about a week ago, and still haven't gotten the confirmation that it's been sent. But they have been spamming my inbox with other things, which of course I just LOVE (/sarcasm). And if they really haven't shipped my stuff, there's no way it'll be here before I leave the country. So far, not happy with e.l.f. at all.

Some of their products are good and some are just okay. i like their brushes and some of their eyeshadows are good too, of course some are more pigmented than others. But overall its good and the price is amazing!

I have several brushes, most of which I like, but the angled bronzer brush is falling apart... rapidly. Almost not worth using. They have some tube of shimmery stuff that I like and I just bought their brush shampoo, on a whim. Their eyeshadows are all very pastel and blah, so I don't feel the need to bother with those. I got a blush/bronzer quad that I quite like.

Remember the proverb: You get what you pay for? Well... yeah. I've tried quite a few e.l.f. products and I've found this to be pretty accurate. If you're on a budget and want to give some products a shot I've found that the eyeliners, eyeshaddows and blushes were the least dissapointing.

There are several items I like from their line. I use the studio brushes and some of their dollar brushes. I have one of their studio line blushes and I like it. Their eye brightner quads for a dollar are good as well as the studio line eye shadows. Their eye primer is good, I like their mineral mascara, blotting sheets, clear brow gel and mascara. Those are the items I purchase from them often. Oh and their tweezers are good as well.

Their Studio Line brushes are thee best out of the rest.

Their Candid Coral blush is known for being a dupe of Nars Orgasm blush.

Their Liquid Liner has been a real miss for me. Their brow shadow and wax combo has been a miss too. The color payout on both products was so light no matter how much product I used or how much I went over and and over the area.

I hear their lipglosses are good, and their HD translucent powder is a dupe to MUFE HD powder.

I have two brushes, so far hate them...
Other stuff, like their eyelash curler, lets just say it does the job.
thir lipsticks, the matte ones have an in the middle category, not the best, but they are OK to try.
Lashes, for a dollars they are fine too, but sometimes you get the lash badn to be too stiff.
Their quads, I have only one is called "DRAMA" that's the only product I like about 'em so far.

I agree with everyone, it's either a hit or miss. They're products are cheap for an okay quality I think. Their studio line seems to be better than their regular stuff, but still your only paying $3 verse $1. I like their studio bronzer, some of their lip sticks are okay too. But usually during holiday time or back to school they will put put sets of eye shadows that have alot of color in them and they are usually only 3-5$ and they are very pigmented and work well. Also their makeup brushes are pretty good for how cheap they are.

I have an e.l.f. studio line eyeshadow brush and I love it, their eyelashes are okay but I would definitely recommend using a different eyelash glue beause it doesn't hold very well, and their gel liner is alright...I would suggest using a different brush rather than the one included because it really sucks...I haven't really tried any of their other products, I've just picked up some at my Target.
OH, and they have this gold glitter liner that's decent.

@Christina Thanks! I was eying those lashes at my local Target and wanted to try some. Is there a lash glue that you recommend?

I'm definitely a fan of e.l.f. cosmetics. The quality is iffy on occasion, but I love the prices. These products are also easy to find. I live in a small town with almost nothing, but our Dollar General has e.l.f. brushes. Their website is also quite handy!

There are a few items I like. I really like the Studio blushes and bronzers. I have only tried one mineral lipstick but it is a nice consistency. The swatches on the website are not true to form so my advice google every color you think you like.

I really really LOVE elf brushes ! hands down in both the essential and studio line
I havent tried anything else from the $1 line but i think the studio line products are really nice --- i love their matte shadows!

I love their lip glosses! I bought a bunch of the hyper shine ones (the click pen) and they are great. My favorite color is blossom, it's a perfect pink. They can be a little sticky but I like my lip gloss sticky.

Most of their Studio line ($3) of products and brushes are very good quality. I like some of their pigments and mineral products, too. I don't care for their $1 line - it's very cheap and the brushes are scratchy and fall apart. I'd recommend waiting for one of their 50% Studio sales, and try some from that line.

My most favorite brushes are their flat top Powder Brush, and their Stippling Brush. My most favorite products are their Studio and Mineral Eyeshadows, and their Studio Blushes.

I've tried two things of e.l.f.'s. The brushes and the Studio blushes. I know some people love the blushes, but I honestly HATED them. They're so powdery and I can't get the pigmentation to show... They felt smooth for about 5 seconds after I bought them and then were suddenly very hard. Their brushes on the other hand are amazing, particularly the flat top powder brush. I always use it for my setting powder and it beats my $20 powder brush.

I just did a review on about 10 of their products ..hehe but here is the break down of the elf products I have used. For who ever is thinking of purchasing any of them. This is what I think : )

I purchased a few beauty manual books (one that was all glosses and one that was the smokey eye shadows) the glosses I loved 12091%!! They were amazing...pigmented, glossy and not sticky. The eye shadows were good for the most part, I found some colours were not as pigmented and some what chalky.

I dislike their lip glosses that come in a tube..I find that it smells bad and is too sticky for my liking.

I just got 12 of their products in the mail!

Single eye shadows from their studio line- AMAZING!! I got oatmeal and pebble. Oatmeal was a light gold..sandy colour..shimmer, perfect for highlight, inner corner or if you just wanna throw it on alone. It's pigmented and not chalky.
Pebble- mattee..love the colour, it has a unique texture ..no complaints :)

I got their eye widener. At first the product was somewhat getting clumpy..but that was only the first application - i like the product and saw the difference

Liquid eye liner - amazing!!!!

Matte lipsticks- I got them in tea rose and coral. LOVE the colours, pigmented, very matte as it's name says..HOWEVER I would apply a balm before or after application (it drys out fast)

Concealer and highlight- still yet to try

blush- studio line, AMAZING!! pigmented and a little goes a long way. nothing sucks more then having to sweep your brush and dig into product in order to get a tint even on your face. The colour is true to what it shows and the shimer ones sit nice on the face and don't overwhelm it with sparkles.

Lip balm- DISLIKE! smells like playdough, packaging is too big for a balm in my opinion.

Eye brow kit- amazing! I got mine in light and I love it. Gel and powder work well together and fill in brows great!

I ordered a bunch of their products not to long ago. Totally disappointed with their concealers and correctors. If you decide to try it out -- I suggest the brushes... So far that's the only thing I've liked. Oh and their brush holders are great!

FOR THE PRICE, elf is great.
My mum just bought me a bunch of stuff off the Australian website (they were having a sale) for christmas. I'm not working at the moment and will be a student in the new year so for me there stuff is great if you're on a budget. I love their conditioning lip balm, eyeshadow quads, cream shadows and there brushes seem to be ok.
