A friend asked me to do her makeup for a wedding she's in. She has some mild-moderate acne scarring and has combination skin. I want something that really will last all day, and provide great coverage. I've heard that I need to get something silicone based, but I don't really have any direction other than that. Does anyone have any advice (other than MUFE HD Foundation, as that seems to be people's go-to)?
Additionally, what about CoverFX or Dermablend, considering the acne scarring?

Estee Lauder Double Wear. I've never had a foundation last as long as it did. I went to that after I had an allergic reaction to Revlon's ColorStay.

I have oily/acne prone skin with acne scars and such and the Laura Mercier silk creme foundation is the only foundation I've ever used that seriously lasts ALL day on my face. It has the best coverage, it's really really pigmented so a tiny bit goes a long way and provides a lot of coverage.

If she is going to have pictures taken than you want to steer clear of foundations with SPF. Graftobian is a really good foundation which you can get on their website. For a palette of 5 shades is $25.

Maybelline's 24/hour foundation maybe thee best foundation (drugstore wise out there). Before that I was using Revlon ColorStay for Oily/Normal skin, and I liked how it looked like second skin, but it still have a "dewy" look that I had to top off with powder.
I bought Maybelline cause it was on sale, and I hear it's comparable to Revlon's ColorStay (mind you the only application I used with it was a wet sponge). Anywho, the Maybelline one, I've used a wet sponge and a wet brush... and they both provided a nice look. The color disappeared on my skin, and my skin looked matte off the bat. It like mattified my face on the spot -- I think this is my HG DRUGSTORE foundation!!!

revlon colourstay will last all day and hide any inperfections, covered with a powder it will guareentee all day lasting.
maybeline mattee mousse will wipe off your face in 5 minutes if you have dry skin like me, i apply this with a stippling brush, this gived the effect of airbrush/flawless and makign sure your getting that full coverage that you want.

Mary Kay Time Wise Foundation, $20.00 not as cheap as a drugstore brand but not as expensive as department stores. Blows ANY OTHER FOUNDATION I've ever tried out of the water including: Neutrogena's Healthy Skin, Revlon's Photoready, Revlon's Colorstay, and NARS Sheer Glow.

Illamasqua skin base foundation is great :) apply first with a foundation brush , then grab a flat top dense brush and really buff it into Thr skin to create a luminous effect , great on the skin , allows it to breathe and doesn't transfer :) £25 for 30fl oz :) tiny amount needed xxx
