My biggest disappointment was Rimmel Moisture Renew lip gloss. It was way too sheer and and doesnt last long at all.

worst makeup purcahse was cover girl's lashblastlength. SUCKED. did nothing for my tiny asian lashes
and Revlons growluscious mascara (didn't notice any difference in my lashes, and too wet of a formula)
and maybelline's falsies (HATE HATE HATE that one) (clumped my eyelashes so much) don't like that spiderweb look at all. too wet at first. dried up fast had to throw it up within 2 weeks.

The best product of 2011 for me was was that wholesale 15 piece concealer pallet. The one Coastal Scents calls the Eclipse Pallet. It's quite heavy, but it works SO well w/ my oily skin when applied with my fingers. I love it!
I honestly can't think of any misses this year. I researched everything I purchased so much, so I avoided it pretty well. It was a good year for makeup for me. :P

cant think of too many but one i was disappointed in was nars blush in sin. I think its a beautiful blush and i was eyeing it for a long time but now that i own it it doesnt go with my skin tone..its hard to explain but it makes my cheeks look dirty or bruised ..im going to keep working with it tho to see if i can get it to work for me:)

I really dislike the NYX HD Photogenic foundation primer. It's watery and white which leaves a white cast look on you face. It doesn't smooth lines or pores or make a real difference in the lasting power my makeup.
I hate not using products I spend my hard earned money but this might be the first products that will hit my waste basket if I don't find a good use for it!

Revlon Color Stay foundation.. overrated. Their itsy bitsy collection of color-tones has only yellow-based pigments. The worst part is that my face broke out horribly. Total disappointment:/ I'll just stick with my Makeup Forever..I'm a definite foundation snob, no more from the drugstore!
Best purchase of 2011 goes to.. Benefit Eye-Bright!!! In makeup-love <3 Brightens my eyes and even works as a highlighter. This will always be a must-have for me:)

Best purchase was either my NARS albatross or my Urban Decay cream shadows that I got for mega cheap on hautelook. I really love my Chanel illusion d'ombre cream shadows too right now though.
I really regret buying China Glaze's Sunset Sails from their summer collection. I was looking for a good nude, and they were pretty cheap on head2toe, but this colour just clashes with my skin tone so horribly. I haven't worn it since. I think I might give it to my mom... I somehow doubt that even she'll like it. I'm never buying polish online again!!!

Best: Missha BB Boomer primer, Love! seriously the best primer ive tried.
Worst: Clinique redness solution cream, Does absolutely nothing, except leave a horrible gooey layer on your skin! It smells pretty awful too.

My best beauty purchases of 2011 were definitely Revlon ColorStay Foundation, I absolutely love this foundation and it covers up blemishes well and gives pretty full coverage! I also loved Inglot shadows and Sugarpill shadows as well! My worst products purchased would probably be the Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara... I felt as if this mascara didn't do anything for my lashes except leave them clumpy and it didn't keep a good curl at all... Very disappointed with this product :-/

Thanks for sharing. Another underwhelming purchase was the Ruby Kisses cream/
gel eyeliners. With this one you definitely get what you pay for. Cheap and cheap. My favorite purchase was the Stila Natural Eyes neutral palette. Love it!

BEST 2011 purchase was definitely (there's so many!) Revlon's transluscent finishing powder. I love that stuff.
WORST 2011 purchase was the PUR Minerals makeup remover. GROSS.

Actually Clinique redness solutions cream ( not the gross green daytime one) completely saved my skin last winter... I was getting rosacea and the Chicago weather was drying me out severely - it actually got rid of my redness so much that I don't think I've had any redness until ... Maybe last week? but it is heavy so you have to really apply it properly & it's not great for summer especially if your skin gets oily.
I also loved benefit eye bright, guerlain parure aqua... Ahh too many products! I can't really think of what was a miss (usually I research & if I dont end up liking a product I'll return it). Maybe a few of the drugstore items I've picked up lately were disappointing but that's really it

Best Purchases:
BareMinerals eyeshadow in "Wildflower." - It's such a gorgeous versatile shade, and I use it quite often.
Gigi Balance Face Moisturizer - I love this stuff, it doesn't make my skin feel greasy, nor does it break out. It gives me the right amount of moisture to my skin and I barely ever get dry flakes with this!
Coastal Scents 3D Silver Hologram Glitter Powder - For the price, I absolutely love this glitter. Comparing to Mac's 3D Silver Glitter, I don't mind buying this version for cheaper price.
Worst Purchases:
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in "Pink Sugar." I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that I got a bad batch because I've heard great reviews on the other shades. This one was translucent, no color payoff and the "shimmer" turned out to be almost chunky-like glitter. It was not suiting me whatsoever.
L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Liquid Eyeliner...this one might have been old, but the experience was awful. The sponge tip was so stiff, it was very uncomfortable to apply. The formula started drying up and cracking once it was applied. Also it is very hard to get off, and it's not even waterproof. It ends up smearing, making it harder to remove.
Frutique Hydrating Peach Smoothing Creme - The smell was phenomenal, but then once it oxidized...it didn't smell the greatest. Then It made me break out and caused my face to itch AND get pimples. Never again!

My best was this one brush set from Walmart at an after christmas sale. I don't know if you guys have seen it but it's all duo fiber brushes and it was orignally 20 bucks. I thought they might be sucky because they were one of the walmart brands but I bought it on half off sell for 10 and they're AWESOME. I'm thinking of goign back and getting a backup. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

My biggest disappointment was NARS Miss Liberty blush.. I bought it in hopes that it would be the perfect highlight colour, but all I got was little to no pigment with tons of glitter fallout :( Luckily I replaced it with Albatross and I am in love! Best purchases were definitely NARS Alabatross, MUFE HD Foundation, and Seche Vite topcoat! :) xoxo
