Cream Blush

I really like cream blushes. I apply it with a stippling brush to get the best finish.

How do you apply your cream blush and do you put another blush on top to set it?

I apply my creme blushes with my fingers.. lol I know it's not the best way to apply but I just haven't had time to go and buy a stippling brush..

I usually set it with another lighter colored powder blush so the color will last all day! :)

I use my fingers as well (the only cream blush I have is a tiny pot, too...) and sometimes if I want to play with the shade I'll add a powder blush on top.

I apply them with my fingers or a duo fiber brush.

I apply mine with the sonia kashuk flat top brush....I will set it with a translucent powder or a similar color blush.

I use very clean fingers since it helps melt the blush into my skin and then I follow with a Shimmer Brick from Bobbi Brown.

I use an angled powder brush (MAC 168).. not sure why, but it works well. :]

Question: Do cream blushes work with oily combo skin? I have been wanting to buy some NYX ones because they look more natural... but read that they do not work with oily skin.

I like applying mine with my fingers as a preference haha. I never set it with a powder, mainly because I hate having too many layers on my face unless it's for a special occasion, my skin is sensitive.

@Alexandra G. They can be a problem for oily skin, but it all depends on preference and technique. Adding an emollient product to oily skin can result in fading just because there is nothing for the product to grab onto. I often do a (very) light dusting over the cream blush with whatever powder I've used to set my foundation to insure longevity.

Initially, it may dim down the 'natural' factor a wee bit but my natural glow has it back before I'm out the door.

Thank you all for your input : )
