I'm in extreme need of a clarifying shampoo but I certainly don't have the funds for things like Fekkai Apple Cider (which I have been told is the best) and I'm not a fan of Redken products (I have super sensitive skin). Does anyone have suggestions for a clarifying shampoo that I can pick up at Target/Walmart etc.? Thanks dolls!

Neutrogena has a reasonably priced one that works fabulous, I have the Bumble and Bumble myself and love it!

how funny...i just posted about this on a different thread...try the ion color defense clarifying shampoo..it's like six bucks and really cleans your hair without stripping its color. not sure if target/walmart carries it but im sure that sally's does ;]

Thanks girls! I picked up Suave at Target last night since it was all they had, couldn't find the Pantene one, I do normally use their styling products. I tried it this morning, my hair feels a little better but maybe after another time or two it'll be a'ok again. I'm going to have to check out Sally's next! I went to Ulta last week and they were less than helpful (as usual)!

You can add a small amount of baking soda to the amount of shampoo you use to wash your hair, and that will clarify your hair. But make sure it's only a small amount, otherwise your hair will feel like hay for a week or two.

Hm good idea! Have you ever heard of adding Apple Cider vinegar? A girl (customer) browsing the shampoos when I was at Target yesterday suggested it and I'm not 100% sure whether it's a good idea or not. :)

I've never tried that! I'm assuming it would work, but I don't think I would like my hair smelling sour. Lol!

Maybe I'll try it on a Sunday when I'm not too concerned what my hair looks or smells like (hah) and I'll post the results, if I'm brave enough! Baking soda will be this months experiment though since it certainly seems safer!

Joico has a really nice one. When i was in hair school we only used joico products. Joico is gentle but works really well. The product name is: Joico KPak Cheleating shampoo. I would use a deep conditoner after using one as it can dry out hair somewhat! Good luck :)
