My hair gets really oily if I dont wash it after a day or 2...And I went to my local Target and came home with John Frieda "Root Awakening" for dry hair shampoo and conditioner...So far my hair looks and feels so soft and shiny! <3

I use Nexxus. The shampoo is Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing and the conditioner is Keraphix Restorative Strengthening

I use RedKen and Biolage. I switch off when I finish a bottle... I'm about to try Joico for the first time. Ulta had them on sale for $11 for the Liters.

Lately I've been trying to steer clear of any hair/skin/body products that contain harsh chemicals such as parabens, sls/sles, dea/mea/tea, ect.. To be honest, it's hard to find a quality shampoo/conditioner that doesn't contain any harmful chemicals. Right now, I'm trying out & having fairly good results with RenPure Organics Color Protecting Moisturizing Shampoo & RenPure Organics Deep Deep Deep Conditioner. The prices are like $4 a pop, so cheap, but they contain none of the above ingredients & the shampoo seems to cleanse pretty well without leaving my hair limp or smelling like patchouli.

For my all-time favorite shampoo & conditoner (regardless of chemicals, cause sometimes I would rather be oblivious for the sake of using these), I LOVE Oribe Ultra Rich Shampoo & Conditioner (love the scents of this line- they specially commsion french perfumeries to make their scents), or Kerastase Nutritive Line of Shampoo & Conditioners.

Does anyone use Pureology? I've been thinking about dishing out the money, but I don't know if it's any good.

I rotate between Matrix Sleek Look (which is great for summer when humidity is high) and Redkens Clear Moisture line. I find that Sleek Look tends to be too much for my hair if I use it consistently (it can feel weighed down and grimey at the roots) so I like to switch to Redken, which leaves my hair moisturized and soft.

@Angie I've tried Pureology and wasn't too impressed. However, I don't color treat my hair so it might be better for those that do. I personally tried the purple bottles and hated the smell so I tried the green bottles (sorry I can't remember the names of each formula) and while the green bottles were a little better with the smell, again I found it did nothing for my hair. I highly suggest you try out the sample size bottles available at Ulta. I think they're only $7/each versus the full size which are pretty expensive!

Thanks Julie! I have color treated hair, but I haven't dyed it in a while... so it might not really work for me either.

My favorite shampoo and conditioner are those from the Yest To Carrots and Yes To Tomatoes line-- the gel formulation of the shampoo leaves my thin hair feeling super fresh and clean without being weighed down. Also, they smell delish!

@Diana: Parabens are preservative agents and are totally safe and used in plenty of other products (often seen toward the end of ingredient lists, which means they're barely in the product!). SL(E)S, while they may be irritating to some peoples' skin, are also safe ingredients used in other non-cosmetic products (e.g., toothpaste; SL(E)S are surfactants). MEA, DEA, and TEA are also surfactants and are deemed safe to use as well.

I love Tsubaki shampoos, which is a line under Shiseido. I can get it at drugstores, which means it's affordable and works wonders.

I love Redken! The glamblonde is great no matter your hair color. And as far as pureology goes, I've only ever used the deep conditioner as far as shampoos/conditioners go, and I really liked it.

I think I'm going to get a small deep conditioner and give that a try first... slowly work my way into that line.

Should probably answer the question myself, eh? ;)

Recently I've become a fan of Tresemme. I also like some of the Giovanni ones.

I just recently colored my hair! I know pureology is supposed to be amazing but are there any other good shampoos/conditioners you guys recommend for colored hair? Pureology is pretty expensive...

I use Redken and I absolutely love it. Ulta always has deals on Redken. Biolage is another great brand too.

I've been using a lot of Japanese/Korean products lately. I can usually pick 'em up at the drugstores so they're really affordable. They work a a treat and they always smell oh-so-yummy.

I use Lush Karma Shampoo Bar, it's perfect for oily hair. And for conditioner I love Redken smooth down.

S Factor. But since I ran out and can't get that where I moved I have been switching between Garnier, Herbal Essence & a couple others. I'll probably test out the Fortune Cookie Shampoo bar, it's been waiting to be used next. lol

Biolage matrix shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks! Paraben and sulfate free. One of the only shampoos that doesnt strip your hair!
