I really wanted to say that I appreciate how I have so many of you supporting me! <3
It makes me very hopeful in a world where people still can't be just people, but pigeon-holed into stereotypes of race, gender, sexual orientation, economic status etc. The thing I like the most about makeup and beauty, is that it's a cultureless art. It is practiced by all people of every imaginable background.
As for the response, I really don't think I am going to respond. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I feel that honestly it was probably some generic letter they send out everyone who writes in and complains. A free product doesn't give someone back the dignity that another takes away from them, and the girl and her co-workers probably will have nothing said to them in regards to the issue.
Thanks @Lindsay! I think that is awesome how you are trying to branch out to men! I think more men are enjoying stuff that for generations women only enjoyed. I love one of our local spa's called Progressions, but I can see how some men who are new to this can be a little intimidated. lol I used to always imagine how hard it would be to market to a male audience something like makeup, skincare, spa services, just because for generations they have been told they shouldn't enjoy it/don't need it.

i just want to say that every time I go to a makeup counter I am always dressed up from head to toe, just because that's how I dress everyday because I like to, and I still get the same kind of sassy treatment many of you do. Just today at a MAC store I did when I was buying a $60 product. It's ridiculous and annoys me every time.

"But believe me, the thought of decking this girl right in the face and handing her the tube of concealer to cover her black eye, flashed through my eyes."
Hahaha, this made me laugh so hard! :D
But Cameron, the fact that you decided not to respond back to that email really shows everybody what type of person you are. All you want is respect & I LOVE that. But it's sad, because you're probably right - they probably wont say a word to those girls at the counter & it's a damn shame because absolutely nobody deserves to be treated like that. It's really sad - but if it EVER happens again (hopefully it NEVER will though) I really hope you do speak up right then & there on the spot to a manager, because people like that don't deserve a job at all.
Though if you & I were to EVER go shopping & something like that happened to you in front of me, guuuurl, a scene would break out on the spot!! Like you said, you're there to buy stuff, not to be lectured on gender roles!! <3
