I have straight and oily hair which was pretty healthy, but now after dyeing and using the instyler regularly, I got a bad case of split ends. Recommendations please!

Besides deep conditioning it you're only solution is to cut it off, honestly. It's "split" hair.. It's already damaged.. Only way to get rid of it is to cut it off:( sucks to hear I know sorry lol.

I dot know if it's going to help you , but I have the same problem but my hair is thick and curly so when I straight it you can really see the dryness and split ends, so I start doing a homemade hot oil, very easy and works beautiful on me. If you have long hair down to your back, use 2tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tbsp coconut oil and mix them in a glass bowl and warm it up in microwave for 4 sec., for to be hot but still touchable, than you damp your hair a little and apply the hot oil on your hair and make sure that it is fully covered with it, after put a shower cap for minimum an 30 min or as long you want it. After wash it normally the way you wash you hair to remove all the oil. Hope it helps

If you have split ends you can only get rid of them by cutting them off. You don't need a huge chop all at once, you can do it over time so your hair can stay long. But to prevent them there are tons of things you can use. I personally use a brand called Pro Naturals because they have this argan oil that I've been using on my hair for the last 2 months and it's stopped frizz and split ends from bothering me again. Argan oil is just really beneficial for hair, you should use that to prevent split ends. Mine doubles as a heat protectant, if you want to try the one I have it's online mostly.
