Just keep cleansing and find a spot treatment that specifically tries to get rid of those bad boys

Use Kate Somerville's eradikate (I think that's how it's spelled). It's in a little glass bottle of pink sulfur (I believe) and it helps me when I get really painful cystic acne. Another thing is if you're putting makeup over it, put on a primer that will smooth out uneven surfaces and then put on your makeup. It really makes a difference.

I get those too! To me they're even painful, and yes they usually cause me scars that take foreverrrrr to heal. What I do now is just leave them alone and eventually they'll go away.

Try an alpha hydroxy acid treatment. These work best for me for those kinds of pimples.

@cory s it's just sulfur. It's formulated for cystic acne because it penetrates deeper into the pores than salicylic acid, which breaks the dirt down. It just makes it go away faster.
@marlana p you can get it at sephora. It's 26 usd but it lasts for a couple of months because you just need to dab a q tip into the formula and put it on the spot
