Why does my mascara get clumpy? How can I prevent it? How do you get the best mascara look?

It depends why mascara you use. Instead of using the brush they give you, use disposable ones so they are fresh every day. Keep the cap on, just different brushes

You could use a fine toothed comb which you can use once you have put the mascara on :)

I found on Pinterest that if you pour about five to ten drops of any kind of contacts solution into the mascara bottle then churn it with your wand that it gets more moist. It works very well.

Zig zag the wand across the lashes to get an even and clump free layer. Then blink onto the brush so the ends look longer xx

Never put contact solution into your mascara! Always replace it every three months, and make sure you're not falling for those advertisements for longer lashes it won't work! If you're using drug store brand try the l'oreal telescopic SILVER tube you never go wrong on that.

Make sure when you take the brush out, it's has a fair amount of mascara on it. Brush the applicator on the rim of the bottle to make sure there aren't any clumps. Try curling your lashes, it makes you easier to see the lashes evenly curled along on your lash line, and it tends to spread the lashes so each lash can be covered with mascara separately. (:

Running the tube under warm water smoothes out the formula and will stop it being clumpy. Don't pump the want in and out of the bottle as this dries it out therefore making it clumpy. Remove excess mascara from the wand before you apply it. Using an overloaded wand is asking for clumps! Also brusing the lashes out with one if those eyelash combs will remove clumps.
