I've used that before. I kind of just winged it based on the directions. Mixed the lightening packet with the developer and apply to your hair as if it were regular hair dye. You'll be able to see your hair color lighten so you pretty much time it yourself. You had a 20 developer so it should take a little longer to lighten. Don't let it sit for more than an hour

Susie- thanks for the post! Only problem here is I've never even dyed my hair at home by myself before. The only time my hair color was changed was when my friend did it for me but I had no idea what she was doing. What does 1:1 ratio mean? Sorry I'm so clueless when it comes to hair stuff!
